HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!
It was our good friend Chris Roeleveld's birthday this weekend, so we all went to City Museum to run around and get lost. All in all it was a really fun night, happy birthday Chris! -Worful
THANKSKATING
Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone! Bobby and I met up with some dudes at the blind school ledges yesterday, where Alex and Jake had their own holiday meal prepared. Schwartz was there, ripping. Then we checked out a gap that Bob had found while strolling through the Soulard area via Google street view. He's a pioneer I tell you. Jake cleared it with a healthy ollie, Alex was impressed. Then we went around the corner to a sick spot that Joe Herbert improved awhile back. Bob got into a noseslide as the sun set. It was pitch black out already and only five o'clock in the evening. Winter, ugh. -Worful

YOUNG JEEZY
I'm sure everyone's seen the new issue of The Skateboard Mag, with Ryan Lay's sick cover photo. But have you seen Jeff's picture on the inside? Dare I say SICKER? Way to go Jeff! -Worful

BREAKING NEWS: BOBBY'S ON LUGZ FOOTWEAR
It's official, Bobby now rides for Lugz Footwear. You heard it here first. When he showed up at the blind school ledges today I thought he was wearing the classic D3. But no, it was something even chubbier. It was a pair of Lugz. And guess who the new Lugz Midwest rep is? You guessed it, Guy. Hope this doesn't make waves with his current boss. Meanwhile, Bobby Taylor, Jared, and Larry showed up and skated the ledges with us. They seemed unphased by Bobby's new sponsorship.

DON'T HURT YOURSELF
Don't Hurt Yourself from Dave Ackels on Vimeo.
Randy sent this to us this great clip. Check him out at the very end. Dang, so close!Thursday, November 19, 2009
WOW
First off, Bobby made a custom Pretty Zip Zinger. He's either a genius, or was really high at the time. You decide. But who knows, maybe we'll make one for real in the future? We'll see. The lighter board construction certainly seemed to help Bob get into this ollie up to back lip over the gap at the Steger benches though. Meanwhile, once again we found ourselves at an indoor garage and happened to run into some other fine folks, this time it was Kendal and his homies. He showed us this nice wallride and him and Bob went to work. -Worful

FROM THE ARCHIVES
HAPPY THOUGHTS
Last night I just happened to drive by that garage near my apartment and see what looked like Joel and Argus in the middle of a nice session. It seemed very serendipitous, and I decided to surprise them and join in on the fun. Then Joel surprised himself by pulling a backside flip and a varial flip over the flat gap. Nice! Argus also popped a kickflip with his usual precision. Joel worried that this photo might look too menacing, but I think it's fine. -Worful

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW!!!
This is one of the first pictures I remember taking of Drew, doing a crazy pole jam into a bank across the street from the Galleria. I don't think it's there anymore. Now he's all grown up, and even taller than any of us anticipated. Anyway, here's to you Drewser, happy 21st birthday! Barely legal, man how time flies. -Worful

A BRIEF TREATISE ADDRESSING THE NEXT GENERATION OF STICKIN'
Here's an old gem I recently rediscovered thanks to our pal Mike "Munch-N-Ride-Her" Munzenrider over at the formidable Northern Midwestern blog Platinum Seagulls. Take notes from uncle Lance up there kiddos, keep stickin' fun, don't get wrapped up in the bullshit.
DO NOT SKATE HERE
Do not skate at the new parking garage on Hanley near Highway 40. It blows. Bobby, David, and I drove from bottom to top and there was absolutely nothing to skate. So Bob decided to at least skate down from the top, but even that was no fun because the ground was so bad. He had to push down the whole way. Lame.

H8A PROOF
Bobby's friends from Bloomington, Illinois came through town yesterday, and he showed them around to a few spots here. First he took them to the always amazing Shitside, and Phil blasted a backside ollie to wallride out of the great new quarterpipe. Mike used the bank to wall for a wallride nollie pop out. And Bob got into a 180 nosegrind revert on a the two stair. Then we met up with a whole crew of guys that were at the Gateway School ledges. Chris and Larry got busy with a back nosegrind and a front board. Meanwhile, Joe had a board crisis and Randy had a shoe crisis. But things really got interesting when we hopped under the fence and went around back to skate the loading dock. Bob got a front shove off the top, Phil got a frontside 360, Mike somehow managed to frontboard the rail at the top, and Randy finished things off with a massive ollie over the entire dock. Wow! Then we cruised by the parking garage by my apartment and Mike and Phil tore it up before they headed back home. Here's Mike doing a nollie tre flip. Those dudes are super cool, I hope they come back soon. -Worful
