JACKSON BROTHERS

Guy and Bobby picked me up the other day and we checked out this great ledge spot Gabe told us about. We also picked up a Jackson brother along the way. -Worful

CHARBROILED

I met up with Bobby and Guy at the Webster park the other night and was lucky enough to get to see Eric "Skull" Charboneau tear it up. The highlight was definitely the frontside 360 kickflip over the hip. And he did this twice, crazy! -Worful

No, it's not the yearly post we've been waiting for from his his royal majesty, but I did get a nice message from Zurheide saying hello and sending me some awesome photos he took awhile back of Randy and Dave Thomas getting some sick footage for the forthcoming Dude Life video. Sick! -Worful

MOVING PICTURES

Here are the first successful sequences shot with the newly acquired 7D. This is my long-time friend and elusive Edwardsville native, Colin, post-concussion and wrist injury, showing no signs of slowing down.

WEEKENDS ONLY

Sunday was much warmer than Saturday, and so I met up with Bobby, Drew, Reggie, Joe Jackson, and Sam and we skated Bristol once again. Things didn't get really interesting though until Joe mentioned "There's a bank to curb spot off Gravois Troy told me about that we could check out". This sounded good already, but when we got there we realized just how little of a spot it was. This was perfect though because Bob and I love skating non-spots. And of course, as usual, Joe and Bob made something out of what seemed like nothing at first. -Worful

I'M COOL, I MEAN COLD

I met up with Drew the other day and went to a school yard in search of some sort of snow-free refuge. It was fun but got a little too cold for our us, but before we bailed Drew made excellent use of the bench and a nearby transition. -Worful

HOT COCOA

I met up with Guy and Sam the other night to skate the Webster park. It was kind of chilly but at least it wasn't snowing. Ugh. Bundle up and stay in this weekend with some hot cocoa and an old Transworld video. That's probably what I'll be doing with Bobby tonight at least. -Worful

BETTER WEATHER BIRDS

Here's a taste of our recent trip to Arizona. We all got sick, some of us more literally than figuratively, but we all had a great time having our entire trip scored by Derek's iPod. A huge thanks to Jeff for showing us around, letting us occupy his apartment, feeding us pizza and letting us pet his cats for an entire week. Thanks again Jeff!

JUSTIN VISNESKY

Please check out my good friend Justin Visnesky’s wonderful print for sale on the Collect.give site. Collect.give is a place to collect contemporary photography and donate to worthy causes at the same time. 100% of the proceeds from Justin’s print will go to The Sprout Fund, a nonprofit organization supporting innovative ideas and grassroots community projects that are catalyzing change in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sounds good to me!

P.S. Justin was featured on none other than ripper Mike Rusczyk's great site OFAD. Awesome!

SKATE AFTER SCHOOL

PIPING OUT

The other day I trekked out to see some full pipes with Guy and Bobby. They were great, but hard to skate for sure. Guy and Bobby got some doubles action going though, and even carried that vibe to the next spot for some double wallride action. Then we met up with Sam and company just in time to watch Kendal get some. Also Sam got a questionable new shirt from his friend who just got back from studying abroad in Beijing. -Worful

CHITY VIDEO

Jack has been giving this video lots of very high praise lately, and if Jack likes it you know it's REAL sexual, I mean good. So check out the trailer and go here to buy it!

GOOD OLE BOYS

Straight from the alcohol and country music soaked streets of Nashville, Tennessee, Southern shredders Ross Norman and our boy John Hood deliver a part that definitely goes down smoother than a shot of SoCo, by God.

BROTHER OF INVENTION

As long as I've known Troy, he and his skateboarding have dithered about the proverbial box. He has the unique gift of unquenchable spontaneity that is often applied to his immediate surroundings. What's remarkable about his skating is not only the tricks he chooses to do but equally the ones he avoids.
I had every intention of posting this picture on the 20th of December to celebrate his birthday, but due to forces or lethargy and amnesia beyond my control I had to wait until now. So happy belated birthday, Troy. We're glad you're a part of this world, skateboarding and all.

HIGHER LEARNING

I'm sure everyone heard the BIG NEWS in skateboarding over the weekend: Bobby's butt's better! After severely damaging his tuckus while skating he was out of commission for the last three weeks or so. So we were very glad to see him back on his feet, or off his feet rather. The weather was great and him and Guy were killing it, a great way to start the new year. -Worful
