John had Type
1 (juvenile) diabetes; it’s something he contended with for most of his 30
years. Several months before he died, he expressed interest in doing a benefit
board for diabetes research, asked us for contacts at the woodshop we use and
for other info about getting boards pressed.
That board
never came to fruition, but as a way of honoring our friend, all net proceeds
from the sale of Hood’s memorial board will go to diabetes research in his name.

Skateshop has graciously agreed to accept donations for the boards. We cannot
thank Jason and his staff enough.
