The amazing Tim Ward has been blogging up a storm lately and I'm definitely feeling nostalgic right now. So here's a old photo of an old homie Adam Tobler taken by Rob Winner that I found on SkateIllinois a while ago.

THE KID STAYS IN THE SKATE PICTURE

There was a nice little session on Saturday at Shitside (I guess that's the official name now?) with Reggie, Bobby, Jake, David, Randy, and a bunch of other kids. Reggie blessed me with one of his effortless wallies. Then he complained about not looking tough when he's on this blog. So we fixed that. Meanwhile Jake blessed me with his effortless toughness. David had some fancy schmancy camera and was the light falling around Randy's various maneuvers on the barrier. After that Bobby and I headed to Joel's fiancee's birthday party in Tower Grove park. Joel was clearly excited that Guy made an appearance, but he seemed a little more excited about the cake. Finally Guy and I met some other friends at Webster University to watch the screening of David's final film project, presented in Uth-O-Vision. It was the best of show for sure. Congrats David! He also graduated earlier that morning. Double congrats! -Worful

FLIPMODE SQUAD

Bobby was really psyched today because his new Flip video camera finally came in the mail. So expect to see some Spielberg type cinema here in the near future. And while Bobby was rocking his new camera, Jack was rocking some fat beats on his iPhone. Hood took us to a great new spot, but we got the boot shortly after arriving when some security guard went all Paul Blart on our asses. Before that happened Bobby kickflipped the flat gap though, and Hood did a front shuv and back 180 flip over it too. All in all not too shabby for a quick session.

HYPED

Yesterday was a great time at the tennis courts. Drew kicked things off by jamming the massive pole out of the bank. Then Randy took things to the other pole over the bank with a 5-0. This sparked a mini-session within the overall session. Hood came through with a smith, crooked grind, and tailslide, while a bunch of the local rippers got their turn as well. It was super fun to see everyone get hyped of each other for sure. -Worful

DUDES DUDING IT UP

Bobby, David, Josh Hancock, and the man known simply as "Nub" went skating up north recently. Josh got a backside 180 off a bump and over a barrier. Bobby took the opposite approach and ollied over the barrier into the bump. Then things go really fun. Bob was bobbing it up with a hippy hop to coffin, Nub was nubbing it up with a front shuv, and David was spinning all the classic hits from the 80s, 90s, and NOW!!!
