BAD TO THE BEARD

I met up with David to skate yesterday. We met at this random parking lot near Bobby's house, hoping to meet up with him later. There wasn't much to skate there, but it was fun. Then it got even more fun when Bobby rolled up on his "hog." One of us jokingly brought up the idea of hippy hopping Bobby's scooter, and it wasn't long before him and David did just that. -Worful

Twelve years ago or so, if you would've told me that a rather credulous young ripper named Bobby Taylor would one day become a nuclear engineer, my response would've been something like: "are you out of your damn skull!?"

My how wrong I would've been... And it gives me great pleasure to admit so. Bobby, congrats, and it's really good seeing you on your board again. Let me know if you want to go shoot something else.

THIS IS INNOVATION

So I met up with Bobby, David, and Hood yesterday briefly. Bobby stuck this 50-50, which was sick. Then Hood took a sip of something and got the bright idea to shoot a buddy rail photo. Which we did. But David wasn't done. He had to stick he new top secret trick. With a little assist from a friend of course. The real mystery is why was he wearing a button with Bobby's wife's name on it? Scandalous! -Worful

HOOD'S BACK IN OUR 'HOOD

Hood's in town! I met up with him, Guy, Drew, and David at Shitside yesterday. It was "hella" shaded on such a hot day, so that was nice. It started out as a leisurely session, but then David got things going with a no-comply pole jam. Drew and Hood were giving me the stink eye at first, but finally decided to rip. Drew warmed up on the small bank with a blunt, then did a switch pole jam. He finished off at the barrier, with a back smith, back lip, and front feeble grind. Hood took Drew's energy and ran with it. He ollied the "boob" with ease, then he did a massive wallride from the bank to the marble slab. Finally, he did a switch boardslide across the barrier and over the steps. Not too shabby boys. -Worful
