In case you were wondering, Guy's out for the holiday season, unfortunately. Feel free to send any funny Youtube videos his way so he doesn't get cabin fever. Get well soon Guy!
Editor's note: We're not quite sure what that weird glow is in the picture, but we're guessing it's the ghost of Christmas slams?

So where do you go when it's cold, rainy, or snowy outside? To your friendly neighborhood parking garage of course! Here's Bob with a 50/50 transfer, and an ollie up to kickflip and frontside flip over the flat gap. Photos by Worful.

Dear STL skateboarders,
Unlike the fear-mongering Bush administration, we bring you this bit of frightening news out of genuine concern, not for personal gain. Our friend Jared (who has a 3 flip that would make BA jealous) passed along this alarming anecdote:
hey dude this is jared. DUDE THERE WAS A SHOOTING AT GHETTO PARK!!!!!
omg dude, this was one of the scariest experiences ever. dude there was a random guy walking down the street off of delmar where the tennis courts are. he was just walking down the street shooting like a small 22 or something. i dont know too much about guns but dude this guy was NUTS!!! i saw him shooting in the air, he shot at this van that rolled down the street and as and my friend chris ran to my car he started to yell "come here cuz come here." so we got in my car and were gone. so all i can say is KEEP YOUR HEADS UP!!!!! next time you guys go to the tennis courts because this guy was nuts.
To make matters worse, at that epic Blind School session that Worf blogged about the other day, the cops were swarming. A lone officer in a squad car asked us if we had seen a couple of suspicious individuals. We hadn't and told her no accordingly. She sped off without further ado. A few minutes later, two officers rolled up and barked out the same question. AFTER we cooperated with them, they informed us that there had been a shooting in the area. Obviously our safety was not a priority to them.
So take Jared's words to heart, players: "KEEP YOUR HEADS UP!!!!!!" Shit is really real out there. We love you all.
Yr pals at Pretty
P.S. To leave you with at least some bit of goodness, here's Jared's bangin' 3 flip mentioned earlier...

So the last monthly issue of SLAP came out this week, and although it made us shed a collective paper tear, we're definitely excited to see what they do next. We're also excited that Randy, Drew, and Guy were able to be in this issue! Randy's got a photo on the contents page that Guy shot and Drew's got a two page spread in the One in a Million article. Fantastic!

If Sunday's session was the last before the winter of our discontent, so be it. It started off at the blind school with a larger crew than usual. Hood was shocked. While Bobby and Drew exchanged mustache techniques, the rest of us skated the ledges and played a game of S.K.A.T.E. Then we checked out another spot where Randy did a pole jam and David approved. Another game of S.K.A.T.E. was played as the sun set and we called it a day. Or so we thought! But Bobby had different plans and wanted to show us one more spot. So he shut the session down with a pop shuvit. Jack almost lost his shit just filming it. Yeah Bob! What a great day. Photos by Worful.

Like Bobby, Jake is a busy man, what with overseeing his own kingdom and all. So we don't have any skate photos of his highness just yet, but he did send us some great prints that he made in his photo class awhile back. So take a trip through the eyes of royalty. Portrait of Jake by Bobby.

Welcome back to skate politics at usual! Much like battleground states, there are battleground spots that skaters try to claim as their own. But Bob and Schwartz were able to reach across party lines and share this spot together, thus setting a great example for the youth. Here's a 360 flip and nollie heelflip, both shot by Matt Price.

Thanks so much to everyone who went out and voted yesterday! It was a very historic and exciting day that everyone can be proud of, regardless of who you voted for. But seriously, just LOOK at Obama in this picture. He looks like he's in an Usher video or something. I have a serious crush on this man. -Worful

You've seen all the footage, you know what team they ride for, now go out and pick who you think's the raddest. Whether you like this guy or that one, or even if you just want to write someone else's name on the ballot, please go vote. Thanks! -Worful
Here's some more good stuff that got swept under the metaphorical rug. Of course, no day with Bobby would be complete with out a slam or two, or three, or four. But the question remains, will he go back and land whatever he was trying on that loading dock? Only time will tell, but for the sake of skateboarding we hope he does.
