Butthole Tattoo from Jake Zurheide on Vimeo.
When I saw this video sitting in my email I was terrified. I had no idea WHAT a video titled "Butthole Tattoo" was going to be all about. But it turned out to be a Perryville montage by Jake that's soooooo nice! Thanks Jake, good job! Keep them coming. -WorfulSaturday, April 10, 2010

HOLDIN' IT DOWN
Montage #3: Money is King from Carlo Pelaez on Vimeo.
Bobby Taylor was keeping it really real in San Fransisco recently, skating with Jabari and Jason Wussler. Yeah Bob! See some of what went down in this sick montage that was on the 48 Blocks site.Tuesday, April 6, 2010
BIRDHOUSE ROUND-UP

Over at Thrasher's site they've got a great montage of none other than Randy's awesome boss and the rest of the Birdhouse team performing some ripping park skating. -Worful

APRIL SHOWERS

Friday night's session started out with just Bobby and I tooling around at the Webster park. We weren't sure where else to go, but it ended up being super fun. They've taken out some of the ramps there and moved some of the parking blocks around, and made everything more skatable in the process somehow. So yeah, David, Joel, and Guy showed up, then Alex, Chris, Adam, Reggie, and Kendal too. Sick! A nice session got underway, as you can see on Chris and Adam's blog. Then it started to rain, but the ripping continued until things got too wet to skate. So we booked it to Wendy's, got our grub on, and then went to Steger to skate the benches and Alex's flatbar. More ripping, and then we finally called it a day. Thanks guys! -Worful

GET YOUR SPARKLE ON

I met up with a bunch of the dudes at the grandpa ledge the other day. It was so nice out and stayed light out late. Everyone was working on some sick stuff and David was filming. Things got pretty awesome. There's the ledge of course, but there's also these great wallrides in the alley, some barriers in the street, and then Bobby and Joe found this electrical box gap to skate. I was a a tight squeeze and involved some hedge trimming, but they made it work. I also won a game of S.K.A.T.E which is incredibly rare. A great spot indeed and a good day all around. -Worful

SBC SKATEBOARD MAGAZINE

I recently had the pleasure of doing this illustration for the nice folks at SBC Skateboard Magazine. It’s in the newest issue, for a story about female skateboarders. -Worful

PERRYVILLE PART THREE: DIRECTOR'S CUT
PERRYVILLE PART THREE: END GAME

Well I guess it's really happening. David's really moving in a week. THESE ARE SAD TIMES. So I wasn't surprised when he wanted to go to Perryville one more time before he left. We all seemed lethargic or lazy or something, myself included, but we had a great time once we brushed the dirt off ourselves. Also some tasty burgers at Ewald's sure helped. David ripped it, Bobby ripped it, and Alex put on quite a fun show as well. He even took it to the Perryville streets! Jack, Jake, and I tried to document it all, and Jake was on point with his new Flip HD camera. The car ride home ripped the most, with farts. Thanks for the good times guys! -Worful
HELLO!!! YUM YUM DELICIOUS FOOD RESTAURANT PHONE CELLULAR CAMERA VIDEO NOW!!!
Here is a video Mike Stanfield posted on the Ezekiel skate blog of Derek and I skating the Venice beach ledges a week or so ago. In true beach bum fashion I was just "cruising" that day because of a sprained MCL but couldn't resist some risky back tails on the zip zinger I borrowed from Mike. Derek held it down as usual with his casual ledge sorcery.
I like this video because it captures some of the early-mid nineties nostalgia that escapes most youngsters these days (the gap continues to widen) with the Venice Beach backdrop and the grainy bubble vision footage that looks as if it were filmed by a passing tie-fighter. The Irony is that its filmed with a goddamn iphone with a $1000 fisheye taped to it. I also like it because it exemplifies Mikes oft-used titling style of stringing together adjectives contrary to the content of the video. If you know Mike he is an LA born-n-bred honky at heart but he is half-Chinese so I can never tell if hes trying to be funny or if it is just his "chinglish" coming out with these sorts of things.
I might also mention that Dan "the fan (of Pretty)" O' Sullivan asked me to post this video of dudes shredding Garvanza park in LA. I was bummed I had to sit this one out because of said knee at the time, but after seeing the edit i'm glad I did, because, I don't care if humans skate circles around me and make me look like a total buster mark-ass... but dogs?! Ain't no dog going to show me up with some shit like that. Fuck no.

POPPIN' CHUBBY SHUVIES
A lot of people ask me "Worful, where do you get the inspiration for your pop shuvits?" Alright, nobody ever asks me that, BUT if they did I would tell them that none other than Donny Barley is who first sparked my interest in pop shuvits. He does them a particular way that is especially fun to watch. He's got quite a kick to his, and he pops them really high. For evidence check out this old clip that Bobby sent me of Donny and Tom Penny skating the Tampa park. Also let's take this opportunity to remember how effortlessly amazing Tom Penny was. He still rips, but it's not the same. -Worful

PHOOTY IS FOOTY

Guy dusted off his camera the other day to film some stuff of Bobby that I'm hoping will end up in the highly anticipated (NO PRESSURE GABE) Infinity video that's in the works. Then yesterday he cell-philmed David at the revamped Southwest banks. I think he liked the ease of shooting with David's phone more than his actual camera, but I could be wrong. Never the less, I think him and David should film an entire video with it. -Worful

DIVING TEAM TRYOUT
I don't know why I bother with stupid long-winded posts like my last one when people are obviously watching stuff like this instead of reading my drivel. This video is worth a thousand words. It may be bad karma to laugh at others' misfortunes but even a British royal guard wouldn't be able to hold back on this one.

YOU SCRATCH MY BLOG AND I'LL SCRATCH YOURS

I'm Back in LA from a long series of travels of the Southwest of our great nation and Australia. New friends were met and old ones were revisited, wallets were lost and then recovered and then lost again, sights were seen, new memories were made and then forgotten and then remembered again and potentially forgotten henceforth. Most importantly though, new blogs we're discovered. And although, from the comfort of your own home, you can easily spot blogs frolicking in the open plains or dig for the ones wedged in the deep crevasses of the internet, we all know that you don't give five flying fucks or six solitary shits about a blog or website until you meet the creators of them and see the locales that inspired them.
I snatched the above photo of Ben Raybourn and I in Collector, NSW Australia from my buddy Schooner's blog, Schooner is a solid shredder from Sydney and seriously sucks at not sucking and showed us spooky sights and scenes such as this (alliteration alert! ... Apple airport Alligator assholes!). Collector is a town of 100 some odd people on the way from Sydney to Canberra where an artist chose to build his horror-themed dream house masterpiece until the locals ran him out of town. You may recognize it from Richie Jackson's part in the latest Transworld video.
Another Sydneysider, Troy West has a blog of his skateboarding gypsy adventures. Recent entry's include my friend Alan Young catching a bird, graphic designer and usually straight-laced Englishman Jaybone getting into some risky business, Matt Price having a gay time as usual, and somehow not a single photo of me. I was probably too busy losing my wallet. Maybe next time.
Jack Sabback also has a blog of photos from his extensive travels called Bassackwards. Thats pretty good, but I said that I would have called it "Wacky Sabbacky." To each his own.
I'll post some of my photos from this trip when I have a chance. I don't think anyone has posted this outrageous Roger of the Month so i'll leave it at that.
MORE FROM THE FUNDRAISER

Here's Argus and I after losing a game of skate to Guy, it's my favorite picture from the night. I totally poached it from Chris and Adam's blog, thanks guys! Also congratulations to Drew who won the contest! It was cool to see everyone come out once again to support a rad spot. Thanks to all involved. -Worful
