CHICAAAGOOOOOO!!!

Thanks so much to everyone who organized Dave's event, and to everyone who showed their support in person or through an online donation. Your help is very appreciated! The event itself seemed to go off without a hitch, and was a super fun time. Lots of people showed up, tons of stuff was auctioned and raffled off, and some great bands played. And check out these shirts that Anders Nilsen drew, modeled by Randy! So rad. Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone! -Worful

HAPPY 4/20

Apparently today was a national holiday of some sort. So to celebrate, Jack, Dave and myself went for a mid afternoon session at downtown Chicago's Plastic Park. There was a lot of ripping but we never did figure out what's so special about 4/20.

EXPRESS YOURSELF

I'm really digging Kendal's board. Not just because of the drawing on the top, but also because it's so beat up. Meanwhile Drew screen printed this awesome design on the top of his I and think it looks pretty rad. -Worful

HELLA FOOLS

Saturday I met up with a whole gang of dudes at the fountain, it was sick. Alex, Chris, Kendal, Alex from Columbia, Drew, Jared, Herbert, Joel, Bobby, Jack, and Guy. Some major ripping went down on the ledge, while the rest of the crew got into some pretty heated games of S.K.A.T.E. in the street. I think Kendal was the MVP of the session. Despite getting his board wet, he pulled off a kickflip front nose and switch heelflip front nose. Wow! Then he celebrated by taking a short stroll up a tall wall. Later even more people showed up, but by that time Bobby, Jack, Guy, and myself had left to grab some food and skate our other favorite fountain at Tower Grove as long as we could before getting the boot. Then of course we finished the day with another game of S.K.A.T.E. -Worful

TAP THAT ASS

Good job to Jake and Wissman for getting mentioned on Crailtap! Wissman got on there twice actually, first in front of the camera then behind it. Also check out Wissman's photography site.

CASUAL DESTRUCTION

I went skating with Guy, Bobby, and Alex this weekend. We went to a few spots and ended up at the fountain at one point, where we ran into Bobby Taylor, Jared, Larry, and Chris. They were holding it down there for sure. We skated around the corner so Alex could 5-0 the inside of this ledge, then we headed to the Central West End and Bobby found this chain to ollie. Very nice weather, very nice session. Keep it coming spring. -Worful

THE GENIUS THAT IS JAKE

Butthole Tattoo from Jake Zurheide on Vimeo.

When I saw this video sitting in my email I was terrified. I had no idea WHAT a video titled "Butthole Tattoo" was going to be all about. But it turned out to be a Perryville montage by Jake that's soooooo nice! Thanks Jake, good job! Keep them coming. -Worful

HOLDIN' IT DOWN

Montage #3: Money is King from Carlo Pelaez on Vimeo.

Bobby Taylor was keeping it really real in San Fransisco recently, skating with Jabari and Jason Wussler. Yeah Bob! See some of what went down in this sick montage that was on the 48 Blocks site.

APRIL SHOWERS

Friday night's session started out with just Bobby and I tooling around at the Webster park. We weren't sure where else to go, but it ended up being super fun. They've taken out some of the ramps there and moved some of the parking blocks around, and made everything more skatable in the process somehow. So yeah, David, Joel, and Guy showed up, then Alex, Chris, Adam, Reggie, and Kendal too. Sick! A nice session got underway, as you can see on Chris and Adam's blog. Then it started to rain, but the ripping continued until things got too wet to skate. So we booked it to Wendy's, got our grub on, and then went to Steger to skate the benches and Alex's flatbar. More ripping, and then we finally called it a day. Thanks guys! -Worful

GET YOUR SPARKLE ON

I met up with a bunch of the dudes at the grandpa ledge the other day. It was so nice out and stayed light out late. Everyone was working on some sick stuff and David was filming. Things got pretty awesome. There's the ledge of course, but there's also these great wallrides in the alley, some barriers in the street, and then Bobby and Joe found this electrical box gap to skate. I was a a tight squeeze and involved some hedge trimming, but they made it work. I also won a game of S.K.A.T.E which is incredibly rare. A great spot indeed and a good day all around. -Worful
