I forgot to post this before, but Drew took Ari and Vlad here when they were in town. But it was almost an immediate bust, so this is one of the only pictures I go there. -Worful
The other day I picked up Schwartz who's been on a total mission lately it seems. We met a bunch of dudes at the Kingshighway spot. Then after a quick snack break we all met up again at the ledge to bank off Jefferson. And even though that spot has one of the most problematic run ups Schwartz and the crew still got some tricks. Yeah boys! Also I think we can all agree that we'd like to see some more Nub street footage. -Worful
Here's some stuff that went down last weekend and this weekend. Both excursions involved Alex trying some crazy stuff for the sake of my camera. Thanks Alex! Sorry if you got scraped up. -Worful
We arrived in San Antonio at seven in the morning. After catching some shut eye we hit some parks and cooled off in a nearby river. There's a lot of good street spots in San Antonio; half of which are ditches. So our second day there, we shredded a couple and then had some great Texas BBQ. On our third and final day in town we went to a small skatepark in the middle of a city park. It was clear Sean had home court advantage by the level of ripping he was doing. We breaked for lunch and met Sean's wife and daughter for tex-mex. We skated a little street and finished the trip off with the second great American pastime: mini golf. Hood's ball tuned into a toad, which inspired Randy to take a wild ride. But he didn't have any change and probably didn't really feel like spending it if he did. The next morning we said our goodbyes to Sean and the rest of the Cummings family and headed back to our small midwestern bubble.
Thanks again so much to Dan at Escapist and everyone who came out to see the show! It was super fun and meant a lot. Guy drove with me to take the show down last Friday and Dan was nice enough to take us by this little contest that happened to be going on, I'm sure you might have heard of it. Frank gave us a tour of the course, he pretty much runs Kansas City. -Worful
Welp, all good things have to come to an end I guess. In this case Ari, Vlad, and Scott were leaving town after a long and super fun stay here. But before they left we all went skating one last time. We started by meeting at the Kingshighway spot. Randy, David, and Hood even showed up because they'd just gotten back in town from their road trip with Sean. Sick! Everyone was getting "buck" as Guy might put it, and we then carried said "buckness" over to the Gateway ledges. I think Bobby was hyped because him and Scott got a doubles before everything was said and done. Scott is after all one of two of his favorite skaters currently, the other being you know who. Big thanks to Ari, Vlad, and Scott for coming through town and ripping as well as being just super all around nice and fun dudes. Hope you're all well! Come back soon. -Worful
P.S. They left Bob a little something to remember them by on his refrigerator. Ha!
