"Long story short, the UPS driver does not like our posted store hours (for the last 13 years). Even though it says we open at 12pm clearly on the door, they came at 10:15am and never came back. This video was sent next day air to us from 5boro. This is not mine or 5boro's fault. This is completely the fault of our lazy UPS driver. Please spread the word that there will be no video tomorrow."

So awhile ago Bobby and I had this idea to start a website called The Borffics, combining my name and his name. Get it? Anyway, so what's The Borffics you ask? Well it was going to be mostly clips of people skating the Webster park. Probably? I don't know, we never got that far. But apparently there's a very similar site called The Berrics that beat us to the punch. Oh well, the lazy bird gets the turd as they say. So what's The Berrics you ask? Well I guess it's a website started by Randy, Marty, and Price and it combines all three of their names (sort of) in a very similarly clever way. Great minds think alike I suppose. But yeah, I'm not sure what the site's supposed to be exactly, but they seem to have posted their first every video and it's very entertaining. Please watch it, Randy does a bunch of fakie flips. My friend Sam Mcguire set up a Kickstarter page for a trip i'll be going on if we meet the Kickstarter goal. For those of you who don't know how to get free money for cool or stupid personal projects yet, Kickstarter is a fundraising website While it may sound like a bunch of shysters trying to get a free ride (well, yeah..) its also a pretty clever experiment in trying to involve the audience in the experience of a trip with professional skateboarders. There are several benefits to donating like opportunities to interact with the trip, get your footage in the DVD, get personalized postcards from the road, receive signed or unsigned product or van leftovers, or blow up your social media rep by getting a twitter or instagram thanks and @mention from the skaters.

Want your favorite or least favorite pro skateboarder to prank call a friend of yours? Even that can be arranged by kicking in the right amount of $$$.

shit, If you have 500 bucks laying around you can get an impromptu demo at a location of your choice if its on the map.

so obviously a lot of this is being done with a grain of salt to experiment with the possibility of people interacting with a trip like this and if you see through the evil self-serving lies just wait before you go on a moral rampage and realize that all you're doing is essentially just getting what you choose to pay for and you can literally suggest anything. Otherwise you are just paying for a tour video or photo-book in advance if you don't want to do any of the other silly stuff. Considering the line-up of skaters it will probably be pretty damn good.

Sunday was much warmer than Saturday, and so I met up with Bobby, Drew, Reggie, Joe Jackson, and Sam and we skated Bristol once again. This sounded good already, but when we got there we realized just how little of a spot it was. This was perfect though because Bob and I love skating non-spots. The other day it was fairly cold when I met up with some guys at Shepard. Shepard's not the most fun spot due to it's high level of difficulty, but it was fun to see Chris battle and eventually conquer a very sick NBD there. Yeah Chris! Later Drew and Randy skated the bump to fence nearby which was also fun to watch. Our toes were about to fall off due to frostbite however, so Randy and Drew constructed a fire for everyone. How kind of them, how illegal of them. Also Drew borrowed Pratte's new camera and really got in the zone. Meanwhile it was much warmer the following day when I had the pleasure of watching Frenzel and DJ Crucial skate, among others. Frenzel was skating like a madman and DJ Crucial always has the sickest old school boards (AND shoes apparently). -Worful

Well it had looked like the weather had started to change for the worse, but this weekend wasn't too bad. So I ended up meeting up with some fellow riders not too far from my apartment and skated (or rather I watched them skate) what seemed like a pretty nice ledge. Everyone proceeded to hit it up (Alex mostly just chubbed it up) and some sick stuff went down. My favorite was Bobby's long front board though. Yeah Bob! As the days get colder we'll just have to keep our heads up and hope for more sessions like these. -Worful

ALMOST A SPOT

To skate a real spot or not to skate a real spot, THAT is the question. But when it comes to skating with Bobby and David the answer is usually "Doesn't matter!" This is because they can make a fun session out of any spot. Furthermore they challenge the very definition of what a spot is. Saturday was no exception and the skating got very conceptual and even borderline existential. We started by meeting Joel at Bobby's and lots of baby holding ensued. Then we checked out the bank across from the mall, however a very nice security lady gave us a very gentle boot. Bobby and I casually mentioned that we knew of a bank near a small body of water, and surprisingly we ended up skating there. The bank proved not to be exactly "awesome" to skate, so Bobby and David decided to forego the bank all together and concentrate instead on what seemed to be an impossible box to skate. But skate it they did. When we were leaving I noticed that my back left tire was looking very low and Bobby spotted a nail in the top of it ("Nailed it!" -Bobby or David, I can't remember). And as soon as I popped the trunk Bobby, David, and Joel went to work like my own personal pit crew! Next up we non-spot searched in Maplewood and came across a bank and a wall with very narrow ledges to stall on. Bobby somehow managed to stall on it without breaking his toes, and Joel somehow managed to "get in the chunk" as Bobby described it. Meanwhile David dropped the heck out of it. Guy met up with us in full crusade regalia and a few blocks away he took advantage of a nice yellow curb. Finally, our last non-spot of the day, Guy had been talking about wanting to skate a flat bar. Well, we sort of found one. But the weird foam ground at this abandoned playground was more interesting. Somehow David managed to ollie a gap on it. Also him and Bobby got their buddy bar on. The next day we changed things up by skating a couple "real" spots, which were also fun. OCCUPYING DOWNTOWN

I headed downtown with some guys on Sunday. We checked out a cool manual (and possible ledge) spot near the stadium. Then we stopped by the Occupy St. Louis movement at Kiener Plaza. I met a very nice guy who used to be in the Air Force who was telling me how he ended up protesting there. He also was very acrobatic. From there we skated to that wallride garage spot and everyone killed it. -Worful

P.S. We didn't skate when we were at Kiener, but the protesters didn't seem to mind if we did. But please be respectful if you do skate there.

I met up with a couple of redheads at the Kingshighway spot the other day. They were skating a plastic barrier among other things. Nub had brought it up and Brinkman and his friends had filled to make more sturdy, thanks! Speaking of Brinkman, he's still rocking the longboard and he's still killing it! He was too scared to try the new polejam though. Oh well. -Worful

Sunday I met up with Sam, Alex, and Kendal. Sam got a camera! And I was happy to be there when he got a sick clip of Kendal. It started with a smith and ended with a, well, you'll just have to wait and see. In more wait and see news I met up with Randy, Mitts, Jared, and the Kehoes Monday and then Bobby, Drew, and the Kehoes yesterday and everyone's got some interesting clips in the works. That's all I can say at this point due to legal reasons, but kudos to everyone out there getting footage! I can't wait to see it all. -Worful

I met up with some dudes at the JB park on Saturday. Lots of people were decked out in their best Halloween attire. Derek was just dressed how he usually dresses though I think.
