JUST A QUICK REMINDER/MONTAGE

Derek Fukahara put this together this loose montage with some of his digi-cam footage from the past few years of his travels far and wide. It brought back some good memories and reminded me that time is indeed flying like pigs. Or something like that. don't fritter and waste your time on the internet with your Youtube, Facebook, and Porn* kiddos. And if you must kick around on a piece of ground in your hometown... perhaps try and get out and see some of the world every so often. However, if you feel that you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today, at least check out the next town over**. It can't be worse than where you is from.

* if you are 18 years of age and up, of course

** if you are 21 years of age... of course***.

***if self-respect, morals, and guilt were not driven into your psyche too deeply once you are past your youtube, facebook, and porn stage.

NEW INFINITY GRAPHIC!!!

I'm super psyched that Jason at Infinity asked me to design a graphic for the new batch of shop decks. And now they're finally here. Thanks Jason! -Worful

CAREER ACADEMY

I met up with Alex and Gabe at the career academy ledges the other day. Alex was working on a sick line, and Gabe was filming it very nicely. Plus it wasn't nearly as cold out as I feared. -Worful

PROCRASTINATION POST

Usually when I procrastinate it's in the form of editing, eating or compulsively checking my e-mail. Black Friday is over so I can't pretend I'm going to buy anything and peruse the online ads anymore, I just burned the master DVD of Jake's Junt so I've not much footage to edit, and Thanksgiving has left me too full to even think about putting any more food near my face. So, fortunately for the 52 followers of this blog, procrastination rears it's unproductive head in the form of a Pretty post! These are a few miscellaneous pictures I've accumulated but yet to find a common theme for.

SARS?

sar... from Alex Hoffman on Vimeo.

Is Sars Back? Did it leave? Should I still be wearing this mask?

OH.. .WAIT... "SAR..."!

Just the new something-or-other that Ryan Sublette and Alex Hoffman are cooking up. Surely I wouldn't post it if it did not have some footage of ME doing some quarterpipe poppycock that I honestly have no recollection of doing. Perhaps I was in the midst of some psychedelic fever dream as this trailer of sorts would seem to suggest. Or perhaps it is not me but perhaps an image of me in the fifth dimension that hasn't happened yet or perhaps happened on an imperceptible plane of reality. Perhaps. Either way, i'm, like, TOTALLY freakin' out bro.

I remember Worful making a post about the hard to get SMITS video that Alex and Ryan created some time ago. Welp, its up on the interweb now RIGHT FUCKING HERE, via Alex's vimeo page. Sure its in little tiny chunks in little tiny windows so you might not be able to drop some mescaline and watch it around a big screen with all your little weirdo buddies but at least it is available in some sort of format.

Yes, indeed, the interweb. Where immense works of creative genius like SMITS are put to be ignored, and stinking pieces of week old dog shit are left around to be revered. What a wonderful age we live in.

IT'S... GETTING... COLDER

It seems to be getting colder finally/unfortunately, but this past weekend was unseasonably warm. Bobby and I went spot searching, and then met up with Jack and went to Colonial to skate the ledges. I hadn't been there in awhile and forgot how fun that spot can be. Meanwhile there was this big metal thingy that Bobby nose manualed even though he recently dropped a parking block on his toe. Poor Bob's toe. Then we went to the courts, and finished the day off by eating some ribs. -Worful

LEDGE-ENDS OF THE FALL

I spent most of Sunday on the other side of heaven and earth (see: O'Fallon) at a family get together, but managed to hightail it downtown to meet up with what was left from that day's session at Keiner. The fountain is drained (yay!) and so Bobby, Joe Jackson, and the Kehoes made good use of the ledges and steps there. Then we went across the street and Gabe worked out a nice pair of lipslides before we got the boot. Anyway, it's good to see that Keiner and downtown are still fun spots to meet up with your friends. -Worful

Editor's note: Thanks to Randy for the post title!

DAYLIGHT'S SAVING GRACE

Well it gets dark out way earlier now, which stinks. But at least there's always the Webster park when you're in need of a night time session. I picked up Bobby from the airport the other day and we went straight there to meet up with some dudes and here's what ensued. Also Sam got his license, nice! -Worful

RANDY ON ESPN'S SITE

Here's a nice interview with Randy by Chris Nieratko with photos by Ben Karpinski on the ESPN site.

THIS CHARMING MAN

So I was sick most of last week, but I finally got out skating a little bit the other day with Joel. We tried to go to the bank spot across from the mall, which was fun until a security guard came over to give us the boot. Joel saw this situation as negotiable however, so he talked some talk and got us an extra twenty minutes. Thanks Joel! -Worful

WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD

I showed up at the JB park the other day and things were... weird. David was using Gabe as a human dolly, Alex was wearing a creepy mask and skating an upside down board like a lunatic, and Jake was offering imaginary girls cigarettes. Meanwhile everyone was ripping, which wasn't weird at all. -Worful
